Passing Notes

Passing Notes is an asynchronous collaborative journaling GM-less TTRPG centered on chronicling the twists and turns of mysterious local happenings in a notebook. You play as characters passing around a notebook in which you take turns journaling about a strange conflict embroiling your area until you reach a resolution or run out of time. 

Designed for playing younger characters (kid or teenaged) existing in a school or school-like setting (such as a quintessential summer camp). Best suited for paranormal mysteries with fantasy, magic realism, or horror undertones.

Inspired by the Ologies book series, The Raven Boys, and the teenaged experience.

Basic Requirements:

• One notebook
• Multi-colored writing utensils
• Standard deck of cards (with jokers)
• Other journaling supplies (optional)
• Cardstock (optional)

Content Notes: This game has the potential to broach dark themes ranging from real world horrors to the paranormal. Please take care to discuss boundaries with your play group.
